2025 VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM
Our brand new 2025 Volleyball Program is now taking applications!
OVERVIEW
The Sunraysia Academy of Sport 2025 Volleyball Program will provide junior athletes with a high-performance sporting program within our region by enhancing pathways for young athletes to achieve their elite sporting and personal ambitions.
The program aims to bring together the most talented junior volleyball players in the Sunraysia and Mallee Region, and to provide services to these athletes which they could not otherwise access, therefore complimenting their current coaching, training and competition environments.
The Program will include weekly Volleyball training sessions with Adrian Fox, weekly Strength and Conditioning sessions with Harley Cole and a Volleyball clinic with Dylan Lucchesi. There will also be a fitness testing component and athlete education sessions covering topics such as Nutrition, Mental Skills, Injury Prevention and more.
Objectives
- Identification of regional athletes with long term goals and characteristics for high performance volleyball
- To implement a program which takes a holistic approach to an athlete’s development
- Give athletes the tools necessary for them to develop as high-level athlete i.e., strength and conditioning program and athlete education program
- Use an athlete-centered approach which will focus on the processes that need to be implemented to achieve both short- and long-term goals for athletes.
